About Iowa Ice Cream
In 2011 I wanted to rent an ice cream machine for my son's graduation party. Despite calling two months in advance to several rental companies, I was unable to acquire a machine for the two dates we had identified for his party.
Being a lover of ice cream myself, I decided to see what e-bay had to offer. Secretly, I had always wanted to be an owner of a soft serve ice cream machine and this was my chance to get one. I mean, really, who doesn't want to own an ice cream machine? Long story short, I immediately won an auction on a machine from somewhere in Arkansas. The machine worked well for the graduation party and afterward I started using it to raise money for the Mount Vernon Community schools - robotics, fine arts, post prom, sporting events, Science Olympiads are a sampling of where my first machine was used for charity.

Eventually, people started to ask me if they could rent my machine for graduation parties. At that point I saw a demand for ice cream machine rentals in this area and decided to make it official and form an LLC. A couple of years later I have fourteen machines, 2 Flavorburst attachments, 4 hot fudge dispensers, and an enclosed trailer for my business. To date I have reinvested all my income into the machines and accessories. It's a fun business to be a part of since almost everyone loves ice cream.
